Composite Fillings

Five Point Family Dentistry is an amalgam free facility. This means that we do not place any “silver” restorations. We use tooth-colored composite material that is strong, durable, attractive, and long lasting. We want to restore teeth to look and feel like they did prior to needing a restoration.

Periodontal Evaluation and Therapy

Periodontal disease (gum disease) is an infection process that is preventable. Periodontal disease involves the gingiva and the underlying bone that support teeth and keep them from moving. If left untreated, periodontal disease can lead to pain, swelling, and tooth loss.

Be proactive when it comes to your health. Gum disease has been linked to a number of systemic issues including:

Diabetes

Heart disease

Pulmonary issues in older adults

It is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults

The key things to remember is that if caught early, and with routine care, periodontal disease can be held in check. Every patient is unique and so are their treatment needs. That is why we evaluate your periodontal health at each routine visit.


We utilize the following in our diagnosis:

Digital radiographs

We are looking for changes in gum and bone levels around the teeth in your mouth. If it is determined that you have periodontal disease, we can help.

Dentures and Partials

There are a number of ways to replace missing teeth. Sometimes, the best way is with a removable prosthesis. Most adults have seen or know someone in their life that has a denture, partial, or combination of the two.


Dentures are usually acrylic prosthetic devices that replace an entire arch of missing teeth. They are worn throughout the day and then removed at night while sleeping. Dentures are an excellent tooth replacement option when faced with multiple missing and diseased teeth.


Partials are an excellent tooth replacement option when your remaining teeth and periodontal tissues are healthy. They are meant to replace 1 to multiple missing teeth and utilize your remaining teeth for stability.

They can be a combination of acrylic resin and metal, or acrylic only. If you are a denture or partial patient, please feel free to ask about our design process.

Implant Restorations

Implant placement and restoration is a very exciting process. Five Point Family Dentistry collaborates with a number of specialists that place implants for our patients. When the time comes to restore that implant, either with a crown or utilizing it as a supporting structure for another prosthesis, we are ready.


We work with dental laboratories that produce a high quality restoration that is attractive, feels good, and works well in your mouth. Allow us to be a part of your implant team.

SURE SMILE

Sure Smile and Invisalign are two of the most popular options when it comes to orthodontic treatment today. At Five Point Family Dentistry, we utilize Sure Smile for our aligner therapy. We evaluate each patient to determine their orthodontic needs, and if we find a need we can discuss your treatment options moving forward.


Like with all patient treatment, Sure Smile is tailored to the individual on a case by case basis. We are happy to discuss your orthodontic treatment needs and determine if you are a candidate for Sure Smile.

Teeth Whitening

In-office tooth whitening is a great gift for yourself or a significant other. Having a bright and beautiful smile provides you with the confidence to brighten someone else’s day. Teeth whitening helps to counter the stain that we face from food and drink daily.

We provide an in-office tooth whitening service that also includes custom-made whitening trays and take-home gel. This allows you to touch up your smile from time to time when you notice it begins to fade.

Root Canals

ROOT CANAL! The dreaded phrase that has carried with it a number of negative connotations. This does not have to be the case anymore. Tooth pain is one of the leading causes of work-related absences. Tooth pain causes people to seek relief in any possible way.


As a result, hospital emergency rooms are encountering more and more people seeking treatment for tooth related pain and infection.

There is not one definitive cause related to endodontic pain. Trauma, decay, a history of multiple restorations. These can all be causes that lead to tooth pain and infection. In the event you begin to experience these symptoms, please do not hesitate to call for an evaluation and or treatment. Our goal for you is to first and foremost get you comfortable. From there we can determine where our treatment path will lead.

Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is often the last step people wish to take, but it is necessary at times.


We will go through the process of diagnosing your case and determining our treatment path. Five Point Family Dentistry refers to a number of excellent specialists for wisdom tooth removal.



First and foremost, we will make sure that you are comfortable. Once it is determined that you are numb, we can proceed with your extraction. The key to your success is following our post op instructions. These instructions have been proven to lower your risk of post operative complications and speed your healing process. If followed, your experience can be much more comfortable and quick.

Routine Hygiene

Remember that your body’s overall health begins with having a healthy mouth. Healthy teeth and gums provide you with the tools necessary for keeping the rest of your body strong. Our team is ready to help you with that goal.


We take the time to evaluate your gum health and determine the direction that your dental journey will take. Not every person is a simple cleaning. If you happen to fall into a more challenging category, we will inform you of your treatment needs and recommendations prior to continuing.

Remember that routine hygiene visits are a great time for our team to meet and/or catch up with our dental family. It’s our time to get a glimpse into your lives and continue to develop our relationships. We love hearing about the adventures you and your families experience.

Same Day Dentistry

We know that your daily schedule does not always allow you to take time off to schedule multiple appointments for your dental care. With this in mind, ask our staff about same day dental appointments. We will work to accommodate your scheduling needs.

90-Minute Crowns

Crowns and bridges are often the most time-consuming portion of dental visits. Traditionally, these procedures require at least two appointments. With this in mind, Five Point Family Dentistry has invested in CAD/CAM technology. We employ the CAD/CAM system E4D in our office.


CAD/CAM technology has grown by leaps and bounds and it is in this new age of dentistry that the technology and materials are at their best. We use the latest materials available for the fabrication of our crowns and bridges.

These restorations are then customized to you the individual while you sit in the chair. Same day procedures with same day restorations placed for your convenience.

“This piece of technology is allowing us to replace old defective crowns with new restorations.” Most appointments are completed within 90 minutes. Imagine not needing to have a temporary crown for two weeks. Imagine not having to return to the dental office to have your restoration cemented.


As stated before, “Your dental needs are as individual as you are.” There will be cases that cannot be completed the same day, but we will work to complete your case quickly and inform you if you qualify for same day restorations or not.
